App Store metadata character counter
Type or paste your metadata. Every field is counted against Apple’s limits as you type — keywords in bytes, the way App Store Connect counts them — with live checks for wasted space.
Fills in the name, subtitle, description and What’s New. Or just type below.
Appsium finds keywords with real search volume and writes a name, subtitle and keyword field that fit these limits — in every language.
Frequently asked questions
What are the App Store character limits?
App name 30 characters (at least 2), subtitle 30, keyword field 100 bytes, promotional text 170, and description and What’s New 4,000 characters each.
Why are keywords counted in bytes?
App Store Connect limits the keyword field to 100 bytes, not characters. English letters take one byte each, but many accented and non-Latin characters take two or three, so localized keyword fields fill up faster.
Should I put spaces after commas in the keyword field?
No. Separate keywords with commas only. A space after each comma wastes a byte that could hold part of another keyword.
Is my text saved or sent anywhere?
What you type stays in your browser; your last input is kept only in this browser’s local storage so it’s still there when you come back. Loading a published app fetches its public App Store listing, nothing else.
