App Store screenshot sizes
The exact pixel sizes App Store Connect accepts for every device, which ones are required, and which Apple scales down for you — checked against Apple’s specifications in October 2026.
The rules that apply to every size
- Up to 10 screenshots per device size and localization; at least one is required.
- .png, .jpg or .jpeg, with no transparency or alpha channel.
- Upload the largest size and let Apple scale down to the smaller sizes you skip.
- The first three screenshots usually appear in search results — put your strongest benefits there.

Frequently asked questions
Which iPhone screenshot size is required in 2026?
Apple requires at least one screenshot for the iPhone with Dynamic Island (medium display): 1206 × 2622 or 1179 × 2556 pixels in portrait. If you don’t upload them, Apple can scale them from your larger Face ID screenshots.
What size should I design my iPhone screenshots at?
Design at 1320 × 2868 (the 6.9-inch Dynamic Island size). It’s the largest iPhone size and Apple scales screenshots down to smaller sizes you don’t provide.
How many screenshots can I upload?
Up to 10 per device size and localization, as .png, .jpg or .jpeg files without transparency.
Do I need iPad screenshots?
Yes, if your app runs on iPad. At least one 13-inch iPad screenshot (2064 × 2752 or 2048 × 2732) is required; the smaller iPad sizes are scaled from it.
